beegy CONNECT: PTA presents CRM tool as digital control centre for energy industry processes

PTA GmbH experiences successful day at in-house exhibition beegy CONNECT

Energy meets IT – that was the motto of the in-house exhibition beegy CONNECT on 20 July 2017 in Mannheim. More than 100 industry representatives discussed the opportunities and challenges of digital networking in the energy sector. The PTA GmbH was also present. As the IT partner of beegy GmbH, provider of complete solutions in the field of decentralised energy management, PTA contributes the appropriate digital technologies and was able to present its contribution to the overall solution at the in-house exhibition.

Experience IT tools live

Important points of discussion at the in-house exhibition were, above all, the topics of energy system transformation and digitalisation of the energy industry. Dr. Frank Gredel, member of the management board of PTA GmbH, explained in his presentation, for example, using the PTA solution at beegy, how important a dynamic CRM tool is for customer and energy industry processes in order to obtain a 360-degree view of the customer and to have all customer-centric processes coordinated and automated as far as possible.

In addition to the keynote speeches by the individual IT service providers, the live demonstrations in particular illustrated the digital journey of the end customer along the process chain. This is because a large number of systems that are networked with each other are required to realise the product and service offerings and automate the process chain. This starts with CRM, monitoring tools and billing solutions and extends to smart metering and end-to-end testing for quality assurance.

Successful day for PTA & beegy

“The event has shown that an efficient and agile IT structure and cross-sector partnerships are the basis for the future of the decentralised energy market and are crucial for the realisation of innovative solutions,” commented Marco Demuth, Managing Director of beegy GmbH. “It was definitely a successful day for us,” summarised Dr. Frank Gredel, PTA GmbH. “It’s a great feeling to face the customers and the other IT partners and to show what one has contributed to the joint success”.

Currently beegy is building up a community that generates energy in a decentralised manner and is independent of public electricity providers. This requires an efficient and agile IT structure and cross-sector partnerships. The PTA GmbH will also follow this path.
