IT for IHKs: PTA at the information meeting of the IHK-GfI

PTA uses the opportunity to exchange ideas and get to know the IT managers of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce

On 24 and 25 April 2018 the 25th Information Conference of the IHK-GfI took place in Dortmund. At this annual event with around 150 participants, the PTA was present for the first time as a partner of the IHK-GfI.

IHK-GfI ensures optimal work processes between IHKs

The IHK Gesellschaft für Informationsverarbeitung – IHK-GfI for short – is the joint IT service provider of the 79 Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Germany, the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Berlin and Brussels, as well as the Chambers of Commerce Abroad and delegations of the German economy represented in 92 countries.

As operator of the German IHK-GfI award portal, the IHK-GfI organises an annual non-public information conference. With this information conference, the GfI offers the responsible persons of the respective IHKs the opportunity to exchange information and network with experts and service providers on future IT topics.

PTA is satisfied

As a new partner, the PTA took part in this year’s information meeting for the first time. Dr. Andreas Schneider, member of the PTA’s management board, draws a positive conclusion: “The information conference was an excellent opportunity for us to personally exchange ideas with the responsible persons of the individual chambers of industry and commerce. The successful framework and the open atmosphere enabled an intensive exchange of information with decision-makers at different levels”.

With its experience in digitisation and the management of business processes, the PTA supports the digitisation strategy in the IHK association. With the broad knowledge of the PTA consultants, Scrum teams are managed and requirements for new workflows are implemented in GfI’s own framework around the core application EVA. So that the resulting products can be used quickly by the various Chambers of Industry and Commerce, PTA also supports the rollout projects of GfI as a central partner.
