Short description:

The focus of the project is on connecting an external forecasting system for photovoltaic systems. In addition, basic functionalities for managing photovoltaic systems are being implemented within the customer's internal applications for master data management. The background to the implementation is the comprehensive mapping of the customer's new business area of PV systems. The tasks in the project include the requirements analysis in cooperation with the customer's specialist department and the external system provider, the design of the system and the interfaces, their implementation and the training of the customer's employees.


Methodically, work is carried out in a four-week cycle according to customer standards. The technological expertise relates to the automation of processes and specific energy trading systems. The customer's internal applications for master data management are relevant for the automation of forecast creation and execution. The new processes are documented using Microsoft Visio and Confluence and presented to the users in a comprehensive training course. The adjustments to the individual software for the existing purchasing processes are made using .Net code and SQL databases.

Technical description:

By automating the process for triggering PV forecasts, the specialist department is relieved of work and the processes are standardized. If a forecast is triggered by the system, it is processed in the background and requires no further action by the employee. The interface to the external forecasting system makes it possible to map the exact status of the process. Furthermore, the daily supply of actual data ensures that the forecasting system always has the best data basis. The requirements include the following aspects: Conceptualization of the implementations, data mapping, development, testing and handover to the customer IT.
