As part of the worldwide introduction of a CRM system (mobile data entry via GPRS technology), a backup solution is implemented to ensure that the system is independent of the online system (e.g. if the GPRS service is not available) thanks to local data entry.
To achieve this, an MS Word document is implemented by VBA as an input form. This form can send the data automatically as an e-mail in MS Outlook.
The application supports service technicians on site in recording relevant data (e.g. working hours) and serves as an upstream system for the central CRM application.
