By implementing test automation, the customer would like to increase the efficiency of its regression tests as well as user satisfaction with regard to the ITSM software used to record and process IT support requests. PTA implements the automation of the test cases with the help of Selenium.
The test scenarios include the interaction of a web application with a front end for recording and a back end for documenting the processing of the requests. The tests of these request scenarios are automated by PTA using a specially developed framework based on Selenium. The customer's goal is to call up the tests from the test tool used and to automatically save the results there.
To record and process IT support requests, the customer uses an application to support workflows. New releases are regularly made available for this application. The regression tests require efficient test execution in order to ensure the quality of the software and thus a high level of user satisfaction.
