Short description:

Creating a detailed specification and prototype for a laboratory information system in the area of research and development of pigments and additives at the operational level. All the data from a laboratory investigation (with the exception of molecular and reaction structures (see ISIS/ Base) is stored centrally in an Oracle database. The following objects, among other, are maintained (many of these objects are maintained with status tracking and reciprocal interdependencies): projects (including task, trials, variation, reaction and chemicals), syntheses, literature, chemicals management, products, measurements of reactions, analytics, safety and laboratory regulations.


The application has an OLE interface to the ISIS/ Base application from MDL. This is a desktop application for saving and finding molecular structures. The search function is supported graphically and includes the option of entering parts of a chemical formula.
