Currently, the customer operates two platforms - Seeburger BIS and SAP PO - which both ultimately perform the same tasks. For this reason, only one middleware is now to be operated. After an extensive preliminary analysis, the decision was made in favor of SAP PO. PTA is now carrying out the migrations of the individual scenarios from Seeburger BIS to SAP PO. In addition to the technical implementation, these activities also involve a great deal of coordination with the customer's various clients, other IT service providers and the specialist departments.
The technical migration must take into account the characteristics of the individual scenarios. Because the goal of this platform change is also that the existing interfaces of our customer's customers should continue to work. Therefore, different protocols and adapters have to be used, including SFTP, FTPS, XML IDOC, Flatfile IDOC and EDIFACT.
With these interfaces, our customer offers its customers a fully digitized ordering and billing process.
