A global acting customer has established a software-supported sales-planning process, that includes campaign planning and monitoring. It enables fast and efficient creation, validation and tracking of these campaigns. Due to changing global and regional processes, and certain change requests of the business Units, complex requirements are raised against the application. PTA acts as full service Provider, including projectmanagement, development, Quality assurance as well as business analyis and deployment. The current release is based on the refinement of the supply chain handling and a simplification of access control and rights management.
The application is a client-server architecture, that is integrated in the customers operational environment. PTA is handling the Overall developement life cycle on its own infrastructure, including work management, source code and test management as well as different staging Systems. While testing is administered and executed with SpiraTeam, all other processes are supported by the use of Team Foundation Server. Quality assurance is also supported by the use of SonarQube for .NET development applying customer defined Quality rules.
The supply chain within retail has been changed from quite linear process to a multidimensional one. Quite often different suppliers for the same goods are involved in different regions, including a timewise regional overlapping of delivery or pricing. Planning of amounts, timing and conditions are therefore not only helpful, even more a mandatory precondition for any economically reasonable action. Within this context country-specific variations, access-rights or Proceedings have to be implemented to ensure the usability within the international operating organisation.
