An existing application for managing gas supplier contracts is added to a few screens for structured entry of business objects. Furthermore, to enable redundancy-free and gap-free data maintenance, reports and forms are created that clearly reflect relationships between the business objects.
Supplement
The application is implemented with MS Access 2010 / VBA. It consists of 2 components, i.e. a client component containing all user screens, and a backend component with all tables and data. Based on a requirements list, a detailed design (MS Excel) is first created in collaboration with the customer for the additions and adjustments to be made. The implementation of the individual requirements is performed in several iterations according to the specified priorities. Access forms / reports are created with SQL queries as the data basis.
Subject description
Retroactive changes to legs of transportation routes can easily cause data discrepancies for gas delivery contracts, as these are linked with the transport routes or their legs. Changes to transfer points / locations also effect the linked delivery contracts, transportation routes/legs, compressor stations / power stations, LNG terminals and storage facilities. The new reporting functions support the user when identifying and maintaining dependent business objects and ensure better quality for evaluations (e.g. forecasts on usage and gas delivery contracts for the different countries).
