QC export interface for laboratory information system
Brief description
An interface will be developed for an existing laboratory information system (LIS), which allows the LIS to export relevant data for quality assurance. The data are stored on an external storage location in the XML format, and from there they can be processed by third parties. In this way, the customer can outsource significant quality assurance analyses to external service providers and compare the results of different LIS.
Supplement
The developed quality control (QC) export interface will be integrated in the existing source code of an existing LIS. It is accordingly an extension of the existing LIS and not a separate new development. On the one hand, PL/SQL packages will be created which ensure that all relevant QC data are searched together and written in an XML format. Using various parameters, the PL/SQL functions allow the XML data to be restricted to particular devices and time periods. The LIS user can also configure a time-controlled execution of the export. The configuration screens are written with the help of XML and integrated directly into the LIS GUI.
Subject description
The customer uses external companies to analyze his accumulated QC data and to be able to make better statements about the quality of a laboratory. For this, it is necessary for the companies that analyze the data and compare it with other collected data to have regular access to this data. This is ensured by saving the LIS QC data, at regular intervals, on configured external storage locations. At this location, the data is read and evaluated by the external companies and the results are made available to the laboratory operator.
