SAP ERP 6.0: Carve-out

Brief description
Due to the sale of a plant construction company, the SAP ERP 6.0 systems (ERP and HCM), which are divided into several company codes, have to be separated. PTA will support this process by providing advice, and the operational tasks will mainly be performed by the operators of the SAP systems.
Supplement
In the first phase, both the ERP and the HCM systems will be duplicated, so that both the sold business unit and the business unit remaining in the former group each receives its own 3-layer SAP system landscape. In the second phase, the actual carve-out is performed, as the company codes not belonging to the sold business unit are eliminated.
Subject description
Carve-out refers to the spin-off of company divisions into independent companies, so that it is possible to sell the affected business unit or to launch this company division on the stock market. (cf. http://www.wirtschaftslexikon.co/d/carve-out/carve-out.htm) Independent software systems must be created for the individual company divisions, by separating the formerly commonly used applications in such a way that each company only receives the data for which it is legally responsible.
