Strengthening the logistics location and shaping structural change
Our logistics experts have recently started supporting the Logistics.NRW competence network. As a member of the supporting association LOG-IT Club e.V., we have set ourselves the goal of pooling expertise in the logistics industry in North Rhine-Westphalia. Together with the 350 or so companies that are now contributing their expertise to the network, we are supporting the industry in the upcoming structural change and shaping North Rhine-Westphalia as the No. 1 logistics location in Europe with innovative solutions and ideas. This extensive initiative is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Many years of expertise in logistics IT – digitalization is driving the industry forward
Our logistics experts have many years of IT expertise and comprehensive industry knowledge based on numerous logistics projects. We provide companies with targeted support in mastering digitalization in logistics and keeping pace with structural change in the industry. Our range of services extends from the conception of professional process design to contemporary solutions for transport management, digital warehouse processes, the automated processing of forwarding orders and data flows. Especially in the current volatile logistics market, in which markets are changing very dynamically, it is more important than ever to have access to the most important company key figures, such as the performance of the logistics network, in real time. We also provide tailor-made solutions for this. Our membership of the LOG-IT Club enables us to make even better use of our expertise in logistics IT and technology competence in a top-class network of industry experts.
Logistics industry gains access to a broad knowledge base
The LOG-IT Club e.V. has joined forces with the NRW Transport and Logistics Association as the supporting association for the Logistics.NRW competence network. The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the state of NRW and the European Union. The competence network continues the work of the NRW Logistics Cluster, which was active until 2018. The Kompetenznetz Logistik.NRW is divided into individual clusters. These form the working level of the competence network, at which concrete results for logistics in NRW are developed, for example IT solutions for companies, political position papers, manuals or specialist events.
NRW a central transport hub in Europe
For North Rhine-Westphalia, as the most important economic and transport state in the Federal Republic of Germany, efficient logistics is an internationally outstanding trademark and forms the economic basis of its own economic power. North Rhine-Westphalia is located in the center of Europe and has an exemplary transport infrastructure: no other economic region in Europe has such an efficient and dense network of highways, roads and railways as the regions between the Rhine and Weser rivers. In addition to expanding cargo airports, the state has a strategically very important waterway connection in the form of the Rhine and its ports. This illustrates the importance of developing forward-looking digitalization approaches and sustainable solutions for logistics as part of the NRW Logistics Competence Network.
