One of the highlights of 2025 was the LIMS Forum, where our Head of Life Science, Dr. Thomas Steinmann, gave the keynote speech and moderated the cybersecurity session.
The LIMS Forum is a small but very fine event – in an informal atmosphere, you can get an overview of the latest developments on the LIMS market in the shortest possible time and have the opportunity to speak directly and easily with the providers. At the same time, there is a comprehensive range of information on fundamental challenges facing the industry, such as cybersecurity.
The organizer, Dr. Klinkner & Partner GmbH, succeeds in providing information that is practical and application-oriented, making the event ideally tailored to laboratories and their needs. There are few opportunities for laboratory staff to obtain information in a similarly efficient way if they are about to purchase a LIMS or just want to find out about the options on the market.
The highlight this year was that the view of the laboratory landscape is increasingly changing: From the isolated “system” view of individual IT products to overall solutions with an ever-increasing focus on automation options for the entire laboratory process. This trend fits in very well with PTA’s philosophy, which has been supporting process automation in the laboratory, as well as in other sectors, independently of manufacturers for years.
