AI-supported system for the automated creation of employee profiles
Brief description
The project addresses the efficient creation and maintenance of structured employee profiles as a basis for transparency of their competencies and relevant project experience. By automating profile generation, manual maintenance effort is reduced, data quality is improved, and the costs of the sales process are lowered. PTA took responsibility for requirements management, functional design, and the technical implementation of the entire system. This included structuring relevant profile data, developing a user-friendly application to support profile creation, and integrating additional systems via appropriate interfaces. From a technical perspective, the solution is based on a modular system architecture with a browser-based user interface and multiple backend services. The structuring and processing of profile data is partially AI-supported, while maintaining human oversight and ensuring data protection compliance through the integration of a customer-operated local language model.

The system is implemented as a standalone application operated on-premises. The solution consists of a browser-based user interface and multiple backend services that are provided in a containerized manner. The application is logically separated from the AI model in use and accesses both a local language model and existing systems containing employee and project data via secure interfaces. No dedicated data storage is maintained within the system itself. The web interface is based on modern web technologies, while the backend services are implemented using Java. All source code is version-controlled and built via automated CI/CD pipelines before being deployed as Docker containers. The AI primarily supports the structured preparation and transformation of profile data into defined JSON formats. In the future, AI-supported drafts for management summaries will also be generated. PTA is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the application.
Subject description
The functional purpose of the system is to support the customer's sales team in preparing proposals in response to customer inquiries and tenders. For such proposals, meaningful, customer-specific employee profiles must be provided on a regular basis, clearly presenting qualifications, project experience, certifications, and other relevant information. The application enables the automated creation of employee profiles based on existing employee and project data as well as the respective customer inquiry. The content is specifically aligned with the requirements of the customer inquiry and presented in a modern, consistent layout. AI provides functional support by analyzing customer inquiries and existing profile data, as well as by assisting with structured preparation and text generation in the appropriate system format. The generated content serves as quality-assured drafts that can be manually reviewed and adjusted as needed.
