Alphanumeric Quality Control
Brief description
The current quality control (QC), which is only able to handle numeric (quantitative) QC results, is extended to be able to handle alphanumeric (qualitative) QC results as well. Thus a broader range of test results can be verified what increases patient security.
Supplement
The functionality of exiting software is extended in this project. Until now, only numeric values can be used for quality control within the software. Instruments that send alphanumeric results for the quality control have to be evaluated separately. Now, we extend the implementation of the quality control to be also able to receive, link and display alphanumeric values. This reduces costs as more can be done within one application and increases patient safety as remaining within one application is less error-prone.
