Application for calculation and export of offers
Project duration: 6 months
Brief description
The project includes the planning and development of custom software for an more efficient and faster process to generate offers for the deployment of service technicians calibrating and gauging gas installations. For this the core of an existing application (KNB project-ID: 3679, 5107) is extracted and is extended by the offer process. The application is based on .NET Framework 4.7 and implemented in C#. For the user interface WPF is used.
Supplement
The basis of calculation is read through a csv interface and the projects are saved as xml files. The offers are created from office document templates via office.interop and are exported as pdf files.
Subject description
This project replaces the offer process in place, which works manually with multiple MS office documents. The process corresponds to an extended overhead calculation. By migrating the process to a single application, process errors like using outdated surcharges are averted and overall process times being shortened.
