Asset Harmonization for Cashflowcomputation

Brief description
As part of the risk management of a large insurer, future cash flows are determined based on the asset portfolio under various market scenarios, and a solvency ratio for the BaFin is derived (Solvency II).
Supplement
In the previous approach to determining the solvency ratio, assets were evaluated in grouped categories. The resulting cash flows were subject to greater uncertainties, making hedging necessary. To save the associated costs, the project is re implementing the asset valuation process. PTA is responsible for both the requirements analysis and the technical implementation of the new asset modules, which are developed as microservices in Spring Boot 3 and deployed across a distributed system landscape using Kubernetes.
Subject description
The product is used by the internal risk management department to price the asset portfolio under a wide range of risk scenarios at predefined points in time (particularly for quarterly closings) and to derive the Solvency II ratio from it. The Solvency II ratio indicates the relationship between an insurers eligible own funds and its solvency capital. A ratio of more than 100 percent means that the company holds sufficient capital to meet regulatory requirements and is an indicator of financial stability.
