Automation of project-wide tests, setup creation, server installation including programs/websites
Brief description
Company-wide introduction of uniform build processes and automated deployments and their infrastructure on Windows and Linux servers. Existing projects will be converted to script-controlled installation, manual server installations will be automated as far as reasonable and feasible with acceptable effort.
Supplement
The CI/CD setup is done in close cooperation with the customer and within DevOp teams. CI builds are set up/extended per project as well as release builds. The initial CD implementations of the server and software installation are carried out in locally installed virtual machines, the development exchange takes place via version management systems. Our project goals are CD templates for cross-project automated installation of Windows servers or server software. Template development is done in parallel and in cooperation with the Linux working group.
Subject description
CI/CD is called Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and stands for a method of providing applications and services in a controlled manner, in which all phases are automated, from testing and creation of installation packages including provision for several environments (quality assurance and production) to the script-controlled installation of the servers and the software to be set up on them. DevOp stands for a cooperation between the software development and system administration departments.
