To enable the introduction of BaaN in this company, an interface system needs to be developed between BaaN and the local inventory management system. An Oracle 8.1.7 database forms the basis. Within this Oracle database, processes (Oracle stored procedures) are implemented to automatically perform the data transfer between BaaN and the inventory management system. Furthermore, multiple Visual Basic applications are to be connected to the new interface environment.
