Backup for laboratory information systems
Brief description
Changing the technical basis for the system backup from Oracle Data Pump to Oracle RMAN. This will reduce the data backup runtime and also reduce the memory space thanks to compression. Integration into the service application (installation, maintenance, deinstallation, status, recovery) and into the laboratory information system.
Supplement
The system environment consists of Windows Server 2008/2012 with Oracle 11g, RMAN, middleware and applications of the laboratory information systems. The conceptual design and implementation is performed in its entirety by PTA.
Subject description
Shortening the backup time makes the maintenance window smaller for the laboratory information systems. In addition, costs are reduced if less memory space is used.
