Cloud-Based Multi-App Platform for Private Insurance Distribution

Brief description
An existing cloud-based system for distributing insurance products to private customers is being continuously enhanced. The solution is a web app with an Angular-based frontend and a backend built on Java Spring Boot. Development follows a specification-driven, agentic coding approach: requirements are captured in structured specifications and iteratively turned into production-ready code in close collaboration with AI agents. PTA supports this project, which is run in an agile environment, in particular with development and test automation.

The frontend is built with TypeScript and consists of several interconnected Angular applications, with data exchange and state management centrally handled via Redux. The Java-based backend communicates with a wide range of connected services, handles the saving and loading of processes, and passes the corresponding data on to the frontend. Test automation is carried out using JUnit, Jest, and Cypress, while monitoring and observability are handled with tools such as Jenkins, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Kibana. PTA supports the project both as part of full-stack development and with responsibilities in testing and DevOps.
Subject description
Through a cloud-based web application, the client distributes a broad range of insurance products to private individuals, including liability, home contents, legal protection, building, accident, pet owner liability, pet health, and hunting liability insurance. Cloud-based execution makes the application accessible independent of device, operating system, or browser.
