Creation of an application for electronic carrier processing

Brief description
Development of a Portlet application for electronically managing transport orders. The application enables the recording, management, and printing of orders and their details.
Supplement
The application is developed as a Java portlet for the company-wide Liferay Portal. User input is enriched with data from the ERP system by calling Soap web services. The data can be exported as PDF files for archiving purposes.
Subject description
To coordinate the incoming and outgoing carrier deliveries in the central warehouse, up-to-date information, which is available as an Excel document or in paper form, is evaluated. This is only possible with a very considerable effort. A software for standardized carrier processing should therefore be implemented, in which the necessary documents can be centrally recorded, managed, and evaluated.
