Dashboard prototyping

In order to achieve maximum realism in prototyping, two usecases and corresponding user roles for dashboards are defined first. In the next step, suitable design and prototyping tools are evaluated. The most important criteria for the evaluation are: the possibility to create static UIs (graphic design functions) and to animate these or interactions between user and prototype, the storage location of created files, collaboration possibilities and acquisition costs. The evaluation of several tools speaks for Adobe XD, since the software offers sophisticated animation possibilities as well as basic functions in the area of graphic design. After selecting the tool, two dashboards are designed in Adobe XD and implemented as click dummies.
