Data processing design for expanding a portfolio management system

Brief description
The military portfolio of the insurance company should be integrated into the German portfolio management system. The military business consists of vehicle insurance, contents insurance, and liability insurance for US military members stationed in Germany. This requires that the portfolio management system be expanded to handle multiple currencies, multilingual documents, and credit card payments.
Supplement
The project comprises the design phase and is the basis for the approval of the implementation. The integration of the military portfolio comprises the entire system landscape of the customer, from the filing of the application through the Internet portal to the portfolio management, print output, and further processing of the premiums in the financial systems SAP and MEGA and in the statistics.
Subject description
The application is filed in English using the German Internet portal. When a policy is issued, the data are automatically copied to the portfolio management system. All documents for the customer must be created in English. The insurance premiums of the military policies are charged in USD and must be separated from the German premiums in the accounting system. The direct debit is made by an American bank. In addition, the possibility of a credit card payment must be represented; this does not exist in the current portfolio system.
