The customer plans to implement a new IT system for inventorying tools and work equipment in several of its electrical engineering and mechanical engineering departments. In addition to ensuring traceable storage of the equipment, the aim is to standardize compliance with legal and operational testing regulations and make it significantly easier for system users. Due to the customer's specific requirements, a customized solution will be implemented. During a preparatory design phase, PTA GmbH analyzes all relevant functional, technical, and organizational conditions in order to develop a suitable design for the future overall system in close consultation with the respective responsible persons.

The design work involves technical interviews with future key users, the design of the necessary data structures, coordination of layout proposals and required functionalities, and clarification of foreseeable interfaces to other IT systems. Various UI mock-ups, data model proposals, and technology prototypes are created and discussed for this purpose. Furthermore, coordination with technically responsible persons takes place in order to incorporate issues relating to the appropriate IT infrastructure, data security, and data protection aspects into the proposed solution.
