Development of a new platform for price control in category management

This client is investing in new technology for their retail business. The current project scope involves the development of an application for maintaining all sales item, listing, and price data for physical stores in Germany and Europe. The application itself consumes existing data from internal systems and external providers by means of Kafka topics. The data is then standardized and corrected according to business rules before being published in further Kafka topics for use by the recipient systems. The Spring Modulith framework is used, in which communication between Kafka and the application's internal modules is implemented via Spring Events. PTA supports the product team in its agile approach to technical design and architecture, as well as in the development and testing of the software.
