Development of new Features for Tracking Platform for Sport Avtivities
Brief description
The customer operates a tracking platform to record the sporting activities of over 30,000 employees, colleagues and partners. The platform consists of an app and a website on which participants can record their activities and country coordinators can draw evaluations. In order to achieve the highest possible retention of users, the platform is constantly being further developed. PTA carries out project planning as well as the implementation and development of new functions.
Supplement
The tracking platform consists of an iOS and Android app implemented with Xamarin and a web application implemented with Ruby on Rails. The data is stored in a PostGis database. The project includes the development of new features like the generation of Excel reports. To use the full functionality like graphs, pivot tables and images in Excel, the generation is implemented with Python and the library openpyxl. Furthermore, adjustments to the app design will be implemented and adjustments to the statistics will be made.
Subject description
The customer motivates his employees to reach a certain goal of sports activities every year, for example a certain number of kilometers or hours. Linked to the annual goal are various sporting events and fundraising for various non-profit organisations. The tracking platform serves the company on the one hand to monitor the achievement of the goal and on the other hand as an easy way to record the activities of the employees.
