Docker-hosted web service for data processing using Spring JMS

Brief description
Migrating a web service from the customer's BO software to a dedicated Docker container. PTA is responsible for implementing and deploying the service in a container.
Supplement
The BO software, including the web services, runs on the customer´s system on a Java 8 installation. In the past, this led to problems with SSL and certificates when a client used a newer version of Java. As a solution, PTA proposed moving the web services into a separate Docker container, retrieving the data from the BO system, and then passing it on to the web service clients. To reduce the load on the existing system, data delivery was implemented using Java JMS and the Solace messaging system.
Subject description
For internal reasons, the customer´s BO software runs on two different versions of Java. In the newer version of Java, the key sizes for SSL connections were increased, which prevented the older version of Java from establishing connections. Providing ongoing support for two Java versions involves significant effort. By using a Docker container, the solution will be decoupled from the specific Java versions in use, since data from the BO system is transmitted via JMS. This will allow the web service clients of other systems to communicate with the BO software again.
