A document management system was implemented for an IT service provider. CVS was used for version management in this system. The individual documents are accessed via a web-based application on the intranet.
Supplement
Improvements to the document management for business-critical and project-relevant documentation was requested in the context of an audit. These documents should be made available to the employees on the intranet.
Subject description
The documents that employees require for their project work and for customer contacts should be made available in such a way that it is possible to access the most recently released version. Moreover, the history of the documents should be apparent.
