Efficient article creation for SAP ERP 6.0 Retail

Brief description
Existing functionalities for the efficient mass creation of new article information in SAP ERP 6.0 Retail are extended for an internationally operating retail company. Microsoft Excel serves as the frontend, which is enhanced by options for programmatic control of the SAP backend.
Supplement
The existing country-specific Excel functionalities will in future be used at all locations in Central and Eastern Europe and must therefore be adapted for international use. The extensions of the template thus include the possibility to store all necessary – partly local – article attributes as well as to support the processing of country-specific properties and Cyrillic texts. In addition to the implementation of extensions and new functions, tests are also carried out within the given framework conditions.
Subject description
In order to facilitate the manual mass creation of new articles in SAP, suitable Excel functionalities were created for one of the company locations. The aim of the expansion is to prepare the technical basis for the international introduction in a large number of Central and Eastern European subsidiaries. In the medium term, it should be possible to make this template available to suppliers so that they can directly record their articles with their specific characteristics and thus further optimize the import process.
