Enhancement and improvement of a data warehouse and reporting tool

Brief description
The DWH (data warehouse) and reporting tool based on MS SQL Server for transaction data in a corporation's online shop is expanded to include new functions, the back end is brought up to date and performance is improved.
Supplement
The Scrum-driven project expands the DWH to include additional facts and dimensions. One focus is on improving performance for queries and the ETL process. To achieve this, the SQL servers are upgraded to the latest version and their newest technologies are used. In addition, a better load distribution is achieved.
Subject description
The use of incremental statistics on the partitioned fact tables, the migration of non-clustered column store indices to clustered column store indices, the use of the network load-balancing service for MOLAP and ROLAP queries against distinct fact tables, and the scale-out deployment of the SSRS significantly speed up user queries, improve the performance of the loading section, and strongly increase the maximum possible number of daily data records in the DWH.
