Enterprise-Architecture Consulting for a major provider transition project
Project duration: 11 months
Brief description
Supporting the client in archetectural and organisational topics during the final phase and end-user rollout of a major IT provider change (Datacenter, Housing, Network, IT-Services, end-user services and devices etc.). Consulting in a cross-workstream topics, creating architectural guidelines, coordinating final acceptance of end-user services.
Supplement
The final phase of this major transition projects involves the migration of more than 2000 servers, upwards of 200 applications, approx. 3500 end-users and devices in more than a 100 sites world-wide. We supported especially in troubleshooting and cross-workstream technological issues as well as in the final acceptance procedures.
Subject description
Comprehensive support during the transition phase of a main provider change. Based on existing documents, both the implementation of the blueprints is supported and new solutions are developed if the implementation of the existing solution proves to be impractical/suboptimal. In addition to the solution design, the main task is to coordinate and support the work of the different workstreams among each other as well as between representatives of customers and providers. Support is provided especially in the areas of network infrastructure and security planning as well as end user services.
