The customer, a mechanical engineering company, wants to assess the future viability of its custom ERP software, which is highly tailored to its own processes. PTA supports this by developing various future scenarios for an ERP strategy, including providing a concrete recommendation for action.

In our consulting role, PTA offers the client a neutral perspective on the current state of their ERP system. Through workshops, analyses, and scenario considerations, PTA provides a sound basis for decision-making with recommendations for the client's future ERP strategy. To this end, key stakeholders in the value creation process are involved to gather information and expert assessments for the analyses conducted.
Subject description
To provide a well founded recommendation for the customer's future ERP strategy, PTA conducts a process- and system oriented analysis of the current state of the ERP system. This analysis utilizes customer-provided documents and the results of an event-storming workshop held at the customers site. PTA thus identifies key issues within the ERP system in the areas of process coverage, system discontinuities, functionality, performance, stability, support, and scalability. Based on the documented current state, various scenarios, such as modernization or ERP migration, are developed and examined. Following the analysis, scenario considerations, and evaluation, PTA provides a recommendation for action.
