Expansion of a planning system for power plant decommissioning (modernization and expansion)
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
An automated evaluation process for managed signals will be integrated into the existing intranet application for planning dismantling activities, which should significantly reduce the processing time for these elements for the application users. In addition, technical optimizations will be added to avoid manual work steps and checks. These enhancements serve to further increase processing efficiency and quality. As part of this expansion, large parts of the application will be technologically modernized in order to achieve medium-term cost savings through technical harmonization in the area of application support. Priority will initially be given to migrating those areas that are directly affected by the new requirements. PTA will implement all technical aspects of the requirements.
Supplement
Important parts of the application are migrated from .NET 4 to .NET 6 technology. This will ensure that the necessary technical information is exchanged ad hoc between the two temporarily existing application components. As part of the work, in-depth optimization of the business logic and data processing will be carried out in order to achieve additional performance improvements and simplify technical aspects. Application users benefit significantly from the additional features of the newly implemented interface components in terms of operating flexibility, search and filter options. The grid component ag-grid is used for this purpose. Further convenience is provided by the use of SignalR real-time technology to notify all active editors of data changes.
Subject description
The enhancements and modernizations ensure that the application will continue to operate on a current technological basis for years to come. In addition, the technical adaptations help to automate standard work and direct the focus of application users to relevant use cases. This is expected to increase efficiency and quality and, as a result, reduce costs.
