Functional specifications for an EEG internet portal, including prototype

Brief description
Creating functional specifications with detailed descriptions of the functional requirements and technical prerequisites for an Internet application for displaying, outputting and recording data that is needed by the transmission provider in the context of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). Creating functional prototypes to clarify the requirements described and to evaluate the technical infrastructure.

The product functions and product data are analyzed and described according to the principles of object-oriented analysis (OOA), using instruments of the UnifiedModelingLanguage (UML). The prototype uses JavaServer pages (JSP), and uses Struts as the web framework and Hibernate as the persistence framework. An additional prototype uses the SAP WebDynpro technology as an alternative. In both cases, the SAP Web Application Sever (WAS) 6.40 is used as the application server.
Subject description
Processing the tasks of a transmission provider in the context of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) involves a large degree of manual entry. This time and effort will increase even further in coming years due to the legal requirements. In order to significantly reduce this time and effort, an Internet application is required (EEG Internet) that the participating business partners (distribution system operators and traders) can use to directly record a large share of the necessary data. The Internet application shall also provide an alternative to mail correspondence as a means of providing the participating business partners with the information they require for nationwide adjustment control in accordance with EEG.
