As part of the support for the branch back-office system of an international retailer, the focus is on the continuous functional and technical development of the application. A core team consisting of two in-house developers and one other project participant designs, plans, and implements new requirements. This involves close consultation with the specialist departments and structured coordination within the development team. In addition to further development, incidents are analyzed and resolved to ensure the long-term stability of the internationally deployed solution.
Subject description
The branch back office is a business-critical application that is used in all of the company's branches in over 30 countries worldwide. The solution acts as a central integration and control platform and performs essential functions within branch processes. These include communication with POS systems, connection to various backend systems, performing daily closings, and handling booking and business processes. In addition, the application enables cross-system interface communication between different IT systems. As part of further development, functional enhancements are designed, technically implemented, and quality assured in order to continuously improve the stability and performance of the internationally used solution.
