Further development of OpenAPI for insurance companies
Brief description
Existing REST-based OpenAPI interfaces are being further developed to ensure increasing modernization of the web modules in the insurance company's system landscape. The REST interfaces serve as a central platform for data exchange between the core systems and the web modules. PTA provides support in analyzing the technical requirements and designing the interfaces. To ensure correct implementation, suitable test cases are created and their execution is documented in Zephyr. API clients such as Postman are used to carry out the tests.
Supplement
In order to be able to carry out the tests as automatically as possible, an analysis of other applicable API clients is also carried out with regard to the use of the respective CLI component. The aim is to automate the test execution via suitable pipelines in the CI/CD tool Jenkins. Furthermore, the existing OpenAPI documentation is being successively expanded in order to be able to offer consumers a transparent description of the interfaces based on redocly.
Subject description
The OpenAPI interface serves as a data exchange platform between the insurance company's various specialist systems. These systems include online applications for setting tariffs, recording acquisition data for agencies and the core insurance system, which is used to process insurance contracts and the associated data.
