Implementation of EEG Billing Rules for Limited Marketing

Brief description
As part of the project, the rules regarding limited marketing under Section 5 of the EEV are taken into account when calculating EEG subsidies. To this end, information about such events is imported from a third-party system via an interface and used to validate the calculations. The compensation due in the event of limited marketing is shown as a separate line item on the statements.

Processing is handled by the transmission system operator (TSO) using a Java-based, distributed application running on the Apache TomEE Application Server with Oracle as the database, and on the customer side via its web portal using the Apache Tomcat Web Server, also with Oracle as the database.
Subject description
Under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), a transmission system operator (TSO) has, among other things, the following responsibilities: (a) Acceptance and payment for the energy recorded by distribution system operators (DSOs) within its control area in accordance with the EEG. (b) Recording the energy purchased (quantity and time series) and the remuneration payments made. (c) Balancing the purchased energy and the remuneration paid among the four TSOs in Germany. (d) Marketing EEG feed-in on an energy exchange.
