Introduction of CAMT.053 Bank Statements at a Manufacturer of Dental Consumables

Brief description
The old SWIFT data formats for the MT94x electronic account statement are being replaced by the CAMT (Cash Management) formats, version camt.05x.001.08. The CAMT formats were introduced as part of the global ISO 20022 harmonization and are based on XML. The old 3-digit GVC codes (numeric) are being replaced by ISO Bank Transaction Codes (12-digit alphanumeric). For example, the SEPA credit transfer GVC (166) is translated to the ISO BTC (PMNT RCDT ESCT). However, this is not a 1:1 translation. The XSLT transformation had to be modified because additional information is required in the payment description.

ISO 20022 is an international standard for electronic data exchange between financial institutions. The German Banking Association (DK) will introduce the new formats on November 1, 2025. Please note that the SAP system is currently running SAP NetWeaver 7.0. The SAP_FIN component does not exist in this system. This component contains many developments related to the CAMT account statement.
Subject description
The electronic bank statement is imported and processed using the standard transaction FF_5, and posting transactions are executed. No post-processing is performed using the FEBA, FEBAN, or FEB_BSPROC transactions.
