Introduction of the CAMT Bank Statement

Brief description
The old SWIFT data formats for the MT94x electronic account statement are being replaced by the CAMT (Cash Management) formats, version camt.05x.001.08. The CAMT formats were introduced as part of the global ISO 20022 harmonization and are based on XML. The old 3-digit GVC codes (numeric) are being replaced by ISO Bank Transaction Codes (12-digit alphanumeric). For example, the SEPA credit transfer GVC (166) is translated to the ISO BTC (PMNT RCDT ESCT). However, this is not a 1:1 translation.

ISO 20022 is an international standard for electronic data exchange between financial institutions. The German Banking Association (DK) will introduce the new formats on November 1, 2025.
Subject description
The electronic bank statement is imported and processed using the standard transaction FF_5, and posting transactions are executed. Postprocessing of the electronic bank statement can be performed using the standard transactions FEBAN or FEB_BSPROC.
