The source of this workflow data is the connected middleware application and instrument software. Production Monitoring is not intended for making medical decisions regarding patient treatment and health.

Subject description
Routine medical laboratories are complex organizations in which a large number of analytical instruments and robots work together with carefully trained personnel. The objective is to report back the results of laboratory tests requested by physicians as promptly as possible so that the patient can be treated on the basis of current measured values. For the laboratory operator, this means that he must be continuously informed about how the laboratory's workflow is functioning in order to be able to react directly to possible delays or disruptions.
