Brief description
The administrative process surrounding material inventory, including reordering, production steps, and stocktaking, is to be mapped using new, lightweight software, replacing an Excel-based solution.
Supplement
An old software solution is no longer operational due to technological reasons. A temporary solution based on MS Excel was created as a workaround and is now to be replaced by a customized solution in order to better map the technical processes and make administrative tasks more efficient. A target-oriented client-server solution based on MS SQL Server and a WPF front end is being implemented for the system. PTA's own code generators are being used to ensure an optimal cost-benefit ratio.
Subject description
This is a supplier of customized profiled sheet metal solutions for various areas of application. The focus here is on the procurement of raw materials (coils and sheets) and the management of consumables and inventory.
