Measured data evaluations

Project duration: 4 months

Brief description

In the course of technical product development, measured data is collected at various points. This data is grouped together into a standardized, international database. The textual source data is imported automatically and then exported from the database 1:1. It should be possible to define data selection for export in terms of products and their attributes as freely configurable and reproducible in order to create correlations of production parameters and quality characteristics.

Supplement

The similar, series-numbered products are produced in large quantities as a pilot series and recorded at multiple production and control stations. A characteristics set of measured values is taken at each station. The user should be able to define and permanently save individual lists of products and individual views of measured values in order to display any product list under any views of measured values, ad hoc or later, or to export this data to Excel. Due to the large quantities (up to several thousand units) and the large size of the views (up to 250 measured values per view) the application is very database-intensive. It is to be developed further on the basis of Microsoft .NET in version 3.5 and a Microsoft SQL Server in version 2008 for the data storage.

Subject description

The products are sensors for cars. Sensor-related measured data accumulates both from the production of the sensors in Spain and from subsequent investigations in Germany; this data is examined further and analyzed. The correlations between different measured data from production and development are use to document and improve the production processes and the product quality. In order to identify these correlations, it must be possible to quickly map large lists of sensors and views of their measured values or to select and link them together.
