Metering point operation without delivery of energy

Following deregistration of the metering point operation, the network operator can obligate the current metering point operator to continue the metering point operation for up to three months beyond the actual date of deregistration. At present this scenario cannot be mapped by the application. Due to the close link between energy delivery and metering point operation, when the customer stops delivering energy the metering point operation must at present also be ended. Moreover, the metering point operation line of business should retain new customers in future, so that the new contract structures are also necessary for this scenario. An internal distinction will be made between metering points for energy supply and for energy feed-in. In future, metering point operation should be offered to end customers for this type of metering points and invoiced accordingly, regardless of the actual energy supply case or the mapping of the feed-in.
