Supplement
This project for the migration of a legacy application (host, PL/1) covers various aspects related to the host system to be migrated. Legacy data from inactive contracts must be migrated for the purpose of archiving and permanent access. Batch programs and modules developed in PL/1, as well as SQL scripts for extracting the source data, are integrated into regular test runs and configured for execution. In addition, cutover activities are planned accordingly.
Subject description
This legacy application, which runs on a mainframe computer, maps business processes in the insurance industry. The migration of historical data for archiving purposes is carried out using batch programs, reusable modules, and SQL scripts, which are adapted or configured according to specific requirements. Host jobs and the execution flows within corresponding job plans must be created. Test runs and productive runs need to be planned and executed in multiple tranches.
