Migration and development of a PowerApps application for workflow management
Project duration: 5 months
Brief description
The customer wants to replace existing Nintex workflows for different order types and migrate them to the Microsoft Power Platform. The basis for this is an existing Dynamics 365 Sales CRM system, which serves as the data source. The solution includes the development of a model-driven PowerApps application with custom Dataverse entities.
Supplement
These entities map the complete process logic and lifecycle of the orders. Business Process Flows (BPF) are implemented for process control, defining the individual processing phases. In addition, Power Automate Flows orchestrate cross-system automation, e.g., for notifications, status changes, and data validations. Furthermore, legacy data is migrated, ensuring that both existing and new orders are managed in a consistent data model.
Subject description
The customer acts as an acquirer in the financial sector and offers merchants the option of accepting payments with common credit cards and modern digital payment methods, both in brick-and-mortar stores and online. It handles the entire payment process for various industries. In order to process its customers' orders effectively, PTA is developing a PowerApps application that enables structured, automated, and transparent handling of the entire process chain.
