Migration interface for configuration data of a laboratory information system

Brief description
To facilitate the setup of new instances of a laboratory information system (LIS), a migration interface is being developed which consists of two components: an export/import module in the LIS and a migration tool that allows the exported configuration data to be edited and filtered.
Supplement
In order to identify and edit changes by the Export-/Import module the following is needed: – PL/SQL Developer or similar tools, because provided scripts are not optimized for pure SQLPlus. – A server you can connect to with the previous release installed. – A server you can connect to with the current release installed. – The firewall is configured to have port 1521 open for communication between the two servers as well as to the client executing the SQL tool.
Subject description
The Export-/Import module allows to export the whole system configuration of established laboratories and these configurations can be imported in empty installations. Whenever something is changed which has an impact on the system configuration there is a possibility that also the Export-/Import module has to be extended/adapted,e.g. a new or modified table object contains persistent configuration data relevant to the Export-/Import module.
