Migration of a SAS Data Warehouse to SAP BW on HANA
Brief description
The project's goal is to replace a Data Warehouse based on SAS Software by Migration to an already existing SAP BW.
Supplement
The old Data Warehouse is based on ETL processes in SAS Data Integration Studio and Report that are parametrized and called via an Excel Add In. The target Data Warehouse is moving from a classical BW to BW /4Hana. The Project uses new BW objects such as Composite Provider, Calculation Views and Advanced Data Store Objects. The data processing is done virtually as far as possible and computation is done directly on the database to make efficient use of the in-memory database. The reports are created in Tableau.
Subject description
The Reports accumulate data regarding contracts, consumption, market share, loss of clients and more. They help forecast energy demand and are the data foundation for the sales department.
