Migration of existing data for personal insurance

Source systems and target systems are based on a 3-layer architecture. Both sides use a DB2 database data for data storage. While the business logic in the functionally separate source systems is still implemented in PL/I in many parts, the target system uses an object-oriented approach with Java. The user interfaces for the target system are implemented in Java. The architecture of the target system makes it possible to offer standardized interfaces with different partners, across divisions. It also represents the basis for standardized operation of the various channels of communication to the customer or sales partners. The DB2 Visualizer is used to support the necessary analysis activities in the source and target system and to determine suitable test cases. Test cases are documented in HP ALM.
