Migration of Redwood job control to SAP CPS

Project duration: 1 year, 3 months

Brief description

The QEM version of Redwood job scheduling, implemented in an SAP ERP 6.0 retail system, is converted to the full version of SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood (SAP CPS).

Supplement

SAP CPS is made available in the framework of the SAP technology platform SAP Net Weaver 7.x. In contrast to the free OEM version, it is also possible for non-SAP applications to connect to the job processing. Unlike the original Cronacle version, SAP CPS is based on J2EE, so that all the scripts used for job processing had to be exported from the old version, imported into CPS, and adapted.

Subject description

SAP Retail is used as the central enterprise resource planning system, which communicates with all peripheral systems, in other words the cash register, store and warehouse management systems, and with external partners, with which messages based on EDIFACT are exchanged. The ALE/Idoc technology used as the basis in SAP is controlled by means of SAP CPS, so that a largely automated support of the material management processes is possible.
